Participants at the 44th Sectoral Council on Trade, Industry, Finance & Investment (SCTIFI) meeting at the EAC Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania from 27th – 31st May 2024
Uganda Free Zones Authority (UFZA) participated in the 44th Sectoral Council on Trade, Industry, Finance & Investment (SCTIFI) at the EAC Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. The Regional meeting considered among others; the East African Community Special Economic Zones Regulations to enhance the development of 13 additional Special Economic Zones & incentives for the development of large-scale multimodal Free Zones/SEZs.
Representatives from Uganda included: Uganda Free Zones Authority, Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) -representing private sector, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Uganda Revenue Authority.
