Uganda-China (Guangdong) Free Zone of International Industrial Cooperation is a subsidiary of Guangzhou Dongsong Energy Group (U) Co., and was incorporated on 12th October 2016 for the sole purpose of developing and operating a Free Zone which is situated at Plot No. 1558, Tororo Block 5, Tororo District. On Thursday, 28th September 2017, M/s Uganda-China (Guangdong) Free Zone of International Industrial Cooperation Company Limited was licenced as a Free Zone Developer.
On Thursday 9th August 2018, the entity launched the first phase of their production of fertilisers and industrial bricks for export in a colourful ceremony that was officiated over by Hon. Matia Kasaija, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
