Contract in line with the Rationalisation of Agencies and Public Expenditure Exercise, currently ongoing in Government.

Age Range: 24 – 30 Years

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will support the Procurement Executive with all the procurement activities of the Authority

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Enforce Conformity of Government procurement regulations;
  • Preparing draft request for quotations for potential suppliers / service providers
  • Reviewing of specifications and terms of references submitted by users
  • Preparing Local purchase orders and draft contracts for authorized signatories
  • Source for quotations from approved prequalified service providers
  • Check / confirm completeness of invoices and match them with relevant documents required for payments.
  • Maintain safe custody of all procurement and disposal records and ensure completeness of all Procurement files with relevant documentations;
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports for the Authority as stipulated in the PPDA Guidelines;
  • Populating and updating data into the Government procurement Portal at all times.
  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Business Administration (procurement) or a related field.
  • Membership of any relevant accredited professional body will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Demonstrable working experience in a similar role.
